VERK GROUP SIKORSKI Sp.K. based in Podolszyn Nowy informs that the toy: Octopus pillow 01688, lot number: 28062022, EAN code: 5907451332757, does not meet the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Development and Finance of October 20, 2016 on the requirements for toys due to access in the product to be filled with a fibrous material, which poses a risk of suffocation by cutting off the air supply to the user as a result of internal obstruction of the airways and poses a risk to the safety and health of users. The announcement is published in connection with the proceedings conducted before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
We inform you that pursuant to art. 48 sec. 1 and 3 of the Act of March 6, 2018 Entrepreneurs' Law (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 162, as amended) in connection with art. 37 sec. 2 of the Act of March 14, 1985 on the State Sanitary Inspection (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 195, as amended), the State Sanitary Inspector in Pruszków will conduct at the headquarters of Verk Group Sikorski Sp.K. , ul. Wygody 16, 05-090 Podolszyn Nowy, control over compliance with the regulations on placing biocidal products and active substances on the market (anti-mosquito band 15632, EAN 5907451314746).
All biocides used in Poland must be subject to mandatory registration at the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products. Mandatory registration of biocides results from EU regulations and the Act of 9 October 2015 on biocidal products (Journal of Laws, item 1926, 2015).
Wristbands purchased by Verk Group Sikorski Sp.K. are not registered.
Therefore, we are forced to withdraw the wristbands from the market.
